Danielle Blue has built an extensive career upon being a steward of the law, for advocating individual liberties, and for a commitment to the highest ethical standards of legal professionalism. Danielle derives her experiences and judgment from her practice as an attorney with the law firm of Gallagher, Gams, Pryor, Tallan and Littrell, LLP as well as her membership in the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, Ohio State Bar Association, Columbus Bar Association, and Women Lawyers of Franklin County.
 
Danielle Blue understands the tough issues facing all Ohioans in today's economy.  As a trial attorney, Danielle defends auto accident victims who have been sued and also protects homeowners and their property rights.   Additionally, as an independent contractor for the State of Ohio, Danielle Blue serves as a hearing officer for companies providing homeland security services to all Ohioans. By providing oversight of the firms' security management, Danielle ensures that Ohioans receive the highest quality safety services to protect against potential security threats. Her decisive insight to carefully weigh economic and safety issues will be extremely effective as a Senator in the Ohio legislature.    A firm believer in giving back to her community, Danielle has volunteered her time to work at HeadStart, a domestic violence shelter, and the Salvation Army.
 
Growing up in Youngstown, Ohio, Danielle learned a valuable lesson early in life. Her father, serving as her teacher and coach, taught her to always work harder than the next person, overriding any doubt of her competitive abilities. Danielle took this lesson to heart and applied it when she went college, law school and in her private practice on a daily basis.   She graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, where she was also a Varsity Letterman in Women's Basketball and continues to be an active member of the Wittenberg Alumni Association.  Danielle Blue then received her law degree from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio.  Danielle currently resides with her husband, Doug, in Upper Arlington.
 
As our State Senator, Danielle Blue will work hard to make our community a better place to live, work, and raise a family.  Danielle Blue promises to listen to all Ohioans' concerns and advocate on their behalf in the legislature.
